Policies
*For a complete list of policies, please review your Parent Handbook. A copy of the handbook must be signed each school year.
Late Arrival Policy
Due to newly updated safety measures, teachers will be greeting students at the door before each class (or on the playground if weather permits). After five minutes, the front doors will be closed and locked. We ask that you communicate with your teachers ahead of time if your student will be late. After 15 minutes, a late student may not be allowed into the classroom. If we find that a family consistently disrupts class by arriving late, we will ask this family to consider a private class option. In this instance, class payment will not be refunded. We understand that life happens, but these regulations are put in place to assure the safest learning environment for our students - and one that is free from distraction!
Cancelation Policy
Students are encouraged to attend class at least once a week. Should it become necessary for a student to miss class, we require written notice sent to info@munditospanish.com at least 24 hours in advance. Makeups will be scheduled on an individual basis only when space is available.
Payment & Attendance Policy
All families will be charged a full year's registration and supply fee. If you choose to pay tuition per semester, please note that spring semester fees will be due December 1st, and fall semester fees will be due August 1st. After these dates, it is assumed that you are not continuing with the program if you have not re-enrolled. Your spot will be opened to the waitlist in the absence of re-enrollment. Because we have limited space in each class, we do expect some students to be placed on a waitlist. If a current student misses more than three classes, without notice, their spot may be opened up to another student. In this case, refunds will not be given.
Price Change Policy
Prices are subject to change each year.
Substitute
We try our best to keep as much consistency as possible during our classes. However, life happens sometimes! In the event that a teacher is absent and someone else (an assistant teacher or a volunteer) steps in to help, we will do our best to communicate this ahead of time. However, We cannot guarantee this.
Teachers in Training
Because we want only the best teachers for our students, we require all new teachers to shadow a number of classes as a part of their training. We will try to alert parents when a new teacher will be joining us, but cannot guarantee this.
Sick Policy
If your child is sick, please do not send them to class. It's as easy as that! Speak to your lead teacher about a possible virtual class and any make-up work your child could be doing at home.
Liability and Permission
Mundito Spanish and its teachers are not responsible for any harm that may come to a student while on the premises. Mundito Spanish and its employees have permission to seek medical care for any student or child as needed. I agree that my child’s participation in the program is fully voluntary and that I will not hold either Mundito Spanish or any of its employees, whether salaried or under contract, responsible for any harm that may be caused by my child’s participation in this program.
Student Policies
Any student who behaves in a way that is distracting to other students may be asked to sit out of class. If the behavior is consistent, the student may be dismissed from the class. In some cases, fees paid for classes will not be refunded.
Photo/Video Release
We ask that you grant Mundito Spanish the permission to use videos and photos from class, events and other activities on our website and social media outlets. We do not use such materials for any purpose other than to showcase our wonderful students. Mundito Spanish does not use images for external advertising purposes without direct consent. Parents should reach out individually with any concerns regarding this policy.
Child Care
As a woman owned business, it’s important for Mundito Spanish to support mothers and parents. We are proud to offer jobs to amazing teachers in the community; those who have a passion for language and culture. We feel privileged to offer them a safe and flexible work environment so that they may bring their children to our classes. In the event that you do not feel comfortable with a teacher bringing their children to class, it is expected that you reach out separately and address your concerns.
