Late Arrival Policy

Due to newly updated safety measures, teachers will be greeting students at the door before each class (or on the playground if weather permits). After five minutes, the front doors will be closed and locked. We ask that you communicate with your teachers ahead of time if your student will be late. After 15 minutes, a late student may not be allowed into the classroom. If we find that a family consistently disrupts class by arriving late, we will ask this family to consider a private class option. In this instance, class payment will not be refunded. We understand that life happens, but these regulations are put in place to assure the safest learning environment for our students — and one that is free from distraction!

Payment & Attendance Policy

All families will be charged a full year's registration and supply fee. If you choose to pay tuition per semester, please note that spring semester fees will be due December 1st, and fall semester fees will be due August 1st. After these dates, this spot may be opened to a student on the waitlist. If a current student misses more than three classes, without notice, their spot may be opened up to another student. In this case, refunds will not be given.

  • Registration and supply fees are non-refundable.
  • Tuition installments are billed on the schedule shown at registration and may be paid through your account dashboard.
  • Late or missed installments may incur a late fee per the program's payment schedule.

Price Change Policy

Prices are subject to change each year.

Substitute Teachers

We try our best to keep as much consistency as possible during our classes. However, life happens sometimes! In the event that a teacher is absent and someone else (an assistant teacher or a volunteer) steps in to help, we will do our best to communicate this ahead of time. However, we cannot guarantee this.

Teachers in Training

Because we want only the best teachers for our students, we require all new teachers to shadow a number of classes as a part of their training. We will try to alert parents when a new teacher will be joining us, but cannot guarantee this.

Sick Policy & Health

If your child is sick, please do not send them to class. It's as easy as that! Speak to your lead teacher about a possible virtual class and any make-up work your child could be doing at home.

  • Families must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, or special needs that may affect their student's participation. Mundito Spanish staff will make reasonable accommodations and will contact emergency contacts in the event of injury or illness.
  • Students must be picked up promptly at the end of each session.
  • In the case of inclement weather or unforeseen closure, families will be notified by email.

Liability and Permission

Mundito Spanish and its teachers are not responsible for any harm that may come to a student while on the premises. Mundito Spanish and its employees have permission to seek medical care for any student or child as needed. I agree that my child's participation in the program is fully voluntary and that I will not hold either Mundito Spanish or any of its employees, whether salaried or under contract, responsible for any harm that may be caused by my child's participation in this program.

Student Policies & Code of Conduct

Mundito Spanish is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for students of all ages and backgrounds. Students, parents, and staff are expected to treat one another with kindness, respect, and patience.

Mundito Spanish reserves the right to seek alternative learning environments and procedures for any student at any time throughout the school year. Furthermore, a student or family may be dismissed at any point if we do not feel that we can adequately serve their educational or behavioral needs.

  • Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind is not tolerated.
  • Students who repeatedly disrupt class may be asked to leave the program without refund.
  • Parents are expected to follow drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Photo/Video Release

Upon registering, you grant Mundito Spanish the permission to use videos and photos from class, events and other activities on our website, social media outlets, and newsletter. We do not use such materials for any purpose other than to showcase our wonderful students. Mundito Spanish does not use images for external advertising purposes without direct consent. Parents should reach out individually with any concerns regarding this policy.

Refund Policy

All families must pay initial fees before joining a class. These initial fees are nonrefundable. For families who request tuition refunds at least 14 days before the start of the semester, a 50% refund may be given. In certain circumstances, a tuition-only credit may be given to use in the following semester. If Mundito Spanish cancels a program, all paid tuition and fees will be refunded in full.

Communications

By registering for a program, families agree to receive transactional emails (registration confirmations, payment receipts, schedule updates, program reminders) at the email address on file. Families may also opt in to broadcast communications such as newsletters and announcements; these can be unsubscribed from at any time using the link in any broadcast email.
